This is it, folks! The last page of book #2! The next page published will be the cover art for this book, and then we’ll start in right where this page left off. So, if you’re a little confused as to what’s going on, the aftermath should explain it fairly well. But, also, I can explain it here!
In fact, a recap of the whole comic to this point:
Sally Robertson, daughter of Ian and Brenna Robertson of the Harmless Free Radicals, is embroiled in a plot that followed her parents when they moved to Jam from their home town of Fairport. Fenmere, the Worm, Poet of the Dragon People, is chronicling her life in the form of a comic, which you are reading. But he says, for some reason, that she doesn’t need to be an adventurer. Even though her parents and their friends are the heroes of a webcomic that started in July of 2000.
Sally only knows a limited amount of this. But what she does know is that her parents returned from their latest adventure with an adopted son named Carl. And Carl spent the first ten years of his life transformed as a goatfish in service of the Fomorians, the dark Irish faeries of the sea. He still retains many of his traits and habits from that life, and it’s really annoying! Including a disconcerting habit of eating just about anything.
After a rough day at school, her plans for introducing her adopted brother to Science Club (her favorite thing) thwarted, she decides to engage Carl and her best friend Marshall in some extra curricular studies.
So, while their parents are away at band rehearsal for the Harmless Free Radicals and their babysitter, Jenifer, is still unaware of their activities, they try to see just what Carl can eat, and how much. Which brings us to today’s page.
Meanwhile, it appears that Jenifer has a surprise in store for the kids. A friend in her backpack. Will she introduce him to them? What will they do about the damage they’ve caused to the contents of the tool shed? And what about this plot that Fenmere has supposedly embroiled everyone in?
It all comes crashing down into undeniable site in the next book, starting in two weeks!
Thank you so much for reading.
