This is done!
So, the next step is for me to start putting it all together for publishing. I’ll also start penciling the first page of the third book. However, I think we can expect not to see any updates to the comic for the rest of November. I’ve got lots of drawing time in December, but we’re dealing with plumbing issues, cleaning projects, still trying to get my studio/office in order, and the holidays. All that on top of organizing for two art shows in December! One is a group show at the Black Drop Coffee House, where I will show off my favorite pages of the stalled comic It’s Easy The other is at the Pacific Arts Market, where I will have a booth selling my illustrations and books!
I’ll have issue #1 of the comic there on the first weekend. Hopefully, I should have copies of issue #2 by the second weekend. And, when it’s available via Indy Planet for ordering over the internet, I’ll let you know here!
If anyone is wondering what that doohickey is that Sally is offering to Carl, it’s a lathe dog. It’s a really obscure in-joke that keeps this cover in line with the theme I’m doing for the comic books. Each 28-36 page issue has an illustration that is a recreation of a scene from a real epic. Here, Sally is playing the part of one of the hags that offers Cuchulain roasted dog after his penultimate battle, thus dooming him to die. Don’t worry, Carl’s not going to die, it’s just cover art.
