Jonathan the ‘Hamster is exaggerating quite a bit here, but only because Will Eisner’s bibliography is truly formidable. What is true is that the number of unfinished stories in the Harmless Free Radicals series does outnumber the number of finished stories.
I sure wish I could update more than once a week, and really, even keeping up with once a week would be nice. I understand the flow of the story better if I finish the pages faster! There are elements of the pacing and expression that aren’t finished until the inking is done. My scripts and thumbnails are not accurate to the final product, and can never be. Unfortunately, the art does suffer from me speeding it up (and this isn’t my best artwork as we all know). And, my schedule simply cannot support even two pages a week, though we’ll get that occasionally throughout the next year on my really good weeks.
One of the reasons for the weekly schedule is because I have other projects! Some of them are related to the comic, and some are not. You see them posted on this blog when I finish them. And, as a reminder, you can also buy some of the finished pieces on my Etsy shop.
